About Me

I have been teaching guitar lessons (and a few piano lessons) for the last 15 years. I've worked with students of all ages, from 4 to 87 years old. After teaching thousands of lessons I've learned what works and what doesn't. I've learned how it's less important to show off what I know, and more important to help each student work on the things that are going to help them grow as guitarists and as musicians.

I teach rock/finger-style/pop as well. I enjoy working with students on music that they are excited about playing, whether that's learning about music theory and how to improvise a guitar solo or about learning the chord progression to a favorite song.
